8th Graders that will attend Washington High School next year
Booker T. Washington High School is hosting a Registration Night for next year’s students on Thursday Jan. 14th in the school atrium from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Parents and students are invited to attend to talk to counselors, teachers, and club/sports sponsors about courses that they are interested in taking next year. Copies of the 9th grade registration card will be available at the door. If you are unable to attend you can visitwww.btwash.org to see the registration card with the course offerings and be ready to let them know what you want to take when they come to register 9th grade students at the middle schools in February. We look forward to you being a Wildcat!
Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)Students: Ever wanted to start your own business? Creative and motivated middle and high school students are invited to apply for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), an exciting after-school program for students in grades 6 - 12 that teaches you how to start and run your own REAL businesses! Create a business idea, pitch to a "Shark Tank" of investors for real money, make, market and sell your product--all in a year. Is Your Student Ready for 7th Grade ???Before your student can start the 7th grade they are required to have a TDAP booster. It is not too early to take care of this requirement. Your student may receive the immunization at the Escambia County Health Department (Fairfield Dr 595-6554 N Palafox 484-5755). Appointments are required, but the shots are FREE. The immunizations MUST be on a Florida Immunization Record Form (DH680 form). Bring in your immunization forms to the school as soon as possible. NO SHOTS means NO SCHOOL.
