We would like to personalize this presentation by including the students' baby pictures. Our NEW AcademyDear Parents,
This past year, Ferry Pass Middle made a school rating of an “A” by the Department of Education. Our students continue to outscore our neighboring middle schools in math and reading. This year we are offering the first ever Gaming Application and Development Academy. The gaming academy is the most popular and high interest career academy for middle school students in the state. Students learn how to work with industry standard software products such as Microsoft Office and Adobe School House. In addition, they learn how to create applications for games. By going online and completing the career academy application by April 1 your child would have first choice in entering our career academy. Students who attend our academy will then have the opportunity to enter Tate High School’s gaming academy. I know that you have several options within our district of where you can send your child. I would ask first that you consider our “A” school and the success that our students have had scoring on the FCAT compared to our neighboring schools. In addition, we also offer gifted courses in 6th grade reading, social studies, and research. Gifted students would also be placed in advanced math, science, and language arts classes. Please click here to apply. If you have any questions please call Reggie Lipnick at 494-5936.

Ferry Pass received was recognized as the 2010 Junior School of the Year at the State Level in the 30th Annual Youth Awards for Energy Achievement. The award was presented to Mrs. Wuest by the National Energy Education Development Project Council. FPMS Reading RequirementsAll FPMS students are expected to read at least 30 minutes each evening (chapter book is desired). Some teachers require the student to fill out a log while others will take time to discuss the book with your student. Research shows that 30 minutes of reading each day will automatically make a student a better reader. The better a student can read the better their performance in all academic classes. |
We are an "A" school! Want to support FPMS in rewarding positive student behavior? We have an ongoing fundraiser with proceeds going towards the purchase of rewards for students that are caught doing something positive for others. With your help we can continue to keep rewards on the cart that we bring to the lunch room where students can redeem their "Eagle Coupons" that they have earned. They are also able to enter their "Eagle Coupons" into an end of the 9 weeks drawing for a big prize. The first 9 weeks one of our students won an MP3 player! |
